Umoya Project

October 6

The uMoya project is a community based project that focuses on multiple elderly, disabled, abandoned and sickly men and women in Khayelitsha.

Meet in the the St Michael’s parking lot at 8:45am for a pre-brief.  Drive in convoy to Khayelitsha. Return back to the St Michael’s parking lot by 1pm.

A project for those who believe in loving through boundaries and restoring hope and dignity to those abandoned by society, to take up the call to serve.

We create a fun and safe space for volunteers to engage with the marginalised and encounter the humanity in our brothers and sisters, and in ourselves

We take a group of volunteers to the Missionaries of Charity Home, in Khayelitsha, where we serve 50 differently-abled men and women. We facilitate a variety of interactive sessions as a way of building relationships and starting the dialogue
